Kino Kuźnia in Muzeum Śląskie
This summer in Kino Kuźnia we will see different faces of masculinity.
We will see pedagogical efforts, a group of unruly boys, as well as the process of resocializing already adult men. And by looking at some of the heroes, we will see the process of looking for our own identity.
July 14 – A single man (directed by Tom Ford, 2009), at 21:30.
A beautiful picture of the mourning of an English lecturer after his longtime partner. The film takes place in the 60s in sunny California during the Cuban crisis. An unusual picture of one day that can change your whole life. In the main role nominated for an Oscar Colin Firth.
July 28 – Adam’s apples (directed by Anders Thomas Jensen, 2005), at 21:30.
There are many roads to salvation … which Adam will choose? Adam is a neo-nazi who goes to re-socialization to a rural parish run by Pastor Ivan (in this role the extraordinary Mads Mikkelsen). In addition to him, there is an Arab terrorist and former alcoholic tennis player. What will result from such an intriguing mix?
August 11 – In the name of… (directed by Małgorzata Szumowska, 2013), at 21:30.
Somewhere at the end of the world there is a fight for yourself. Father Adam (played by Andrzej Chyra) befriends with the local boy with troubles. However, this relationship will be a pretext for Father Adam to answer the question cause of which he escaped into the spiritual state.
August 25 – The Choir (directed by Christophe Barratier, 2004), at 21.30.
Nominated for the Oscar in 2004 for the best foreign language movie. A music teacher goes to a center for difficult youth after the war. At first he does not know how to get to his pupils, but over time he manages to make contact with them thanks to music. The boys are slowly starting to treat music lessons as a springboard from raw treatment and are hoping for a better tomorrow.
The screenings will be displayed near the smithy building, and in the case of bad weather conditions will be transfered to the stolarnia building.
