The Art of Integration. Sztuką bądź / Be art

Muzeum Śląskie would like to invite to the second seminar in the series titled “The Art of Integration”, which attempts to familiarise the participants with Deaf culture. The second edition will be titled “Sztuką bądź / Be art” and concern Deaf art as well as the art education received by Deaf people in Poland, Europe and the world. Talks in sign languages will be delivered by Deaf people, who will also act as the community’s self-advocates.

We would like to invite teachers, activists, educators, representatives of cultural institutions and practitioners in the field of inclusive education, artists, as well as everyone interested in Deaf culture and art.

The talks and discussion panels will be held in Polish Sign Language, the Polish phonic language and International Sign Language.

The seminar will be available online. The link providing access to the video channel will be available on the website of Muzeum Śląskie on the day of the event. The transmission will cover the entire meeting and the discussion to which we would like to invite all Deaf people around the world (text chat).
