“Ancient Forest Alliance” / “Great Barrier Reef”
During the COP24 Climate Summit at the Muzeum Śląskie we will be able to see two video installations: Ancient Forest Alliance and Great Barrier Reef.
These two video installations are a part of The Anthropocene Project. It is a multidisciplinary endeavour from the award-winning team of Nicholas de Pencier, Edward Burtynsky and Jennifer Baichwal, combining a feature documentary, fine art photography, installations, virtual reality, augmented reality, and scientific research to investigate human influence on the state, dynamic, and future of the Earth. The Anthropocene Project is currently being exhibited at the Art Gallery of Ontario and the National Gallery of Canada, and will open at Manifattura di Arti, Sperimentazione e Tecnologia (MAST) in Bologna in May 2019.
