Work in hope for… is an artistic residency program realized by Galeria Szara in partnership with Muzeum Śląskie in Katowice. Starting point of the project is exhibition „Everything is Achieved Through Hope. Cultural Heritage of Reformation in Silesia” (Muzeum Śląskie, October 2017 – April 2018). The show celebrates the Year of Reformation and highlights the rich 500-year tradition of Reformation in Silesia.
For the dialogue with the exhibition at the Muzeum Śląskie, the curator of the residence, Joanna Rzepka-Dziedzic invited two artists: Anna Orłowska and Piotr Bosacki. As a result, two independent projects are created, confronting the personal experiences, attitudes and creative methods of contemporary artists with the assumptions, history and effects of the Reformation.
The effects of the work of residents we will see at 16.03.2018 in Galeria Szara in Katowice.
